Hi, I'm Kristy!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I like sports. Like a lot. A really lot. I’m an avid football, hockey, and drag racing fan. Sundays during football season, you can find me parked on my couch all day! Fall is my favorite time of the year because I love all of the colors, but mostly because that’s when football and hockey season start. My love of sports really ties in well to sports photography because I understand the rhythm and flow of the games. My kids are all adults now, but one of the things I miss the very most is being a soccer mom. 

I am also a big music fan. Granted, almost no one I ever meet likes the same genre of music I do (metal, hard rock), but that’s ok because I can appreciate almost any genre….except pop. If music relaxes you, let’s play some at your shoot! It’s a great mood enhancer or ice breaker. Even if it’s pop. 

In my spare time, I like to knit (in the fall and winter). Not gonna lie, my hats are pretty cool. I gift them to my seniors and to my maternity/ baby clients. They are also available for sale and you can view them under the KP Knits link on the home page. 

In the summer, I like to get out and explore our beautiful state. I finally conquered enough of my death by wild animal fears to start hiking last year, and it was amazing! I pack my cameras and a ton of water, and my best friend along with me and we go on adventures. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars. 

I have a quirky, sometimes morbid sense of humor that may come out at your shoot so prepare to laugh. Come have fun with me and my cameras and we’ll make some awesome memories for you to share!
